A minimum viable product is not a collection of half-finished features. It is the smallest coherent experience that lets a real user complete a meaningful job and gives the team useful feedback.

To find that scope, describe the user, the situation, and the outcome in plain language. Trace the essential journey, then remove everything that does not help someone reach that outcome or help the team learn whether the idea works.

A clear boundary is part of the product. It lets engineering build a dependable foundation, gives stakeholders a realistic view of the first release, and makes the next decision easier once people start using it.
